About
I died sometime last year. In my previous life, I was several things, all of which were boring. I worked as a Technology and then Marketing Consultant, advising people on why, what and how to do things – all pretty obvious things. And then, one day I died. But I have mentioned that already.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, it does not end there. I was reborn.
In this new life, I am a Teach for India Fellow. What does that mean? I moved to a new city (that is not really a city!) and my mornings are spent with thirty 7-year olds. And two frogs. Every other waking moment is spent planning for the 5 hours I spend with them.
In other words, I teach thirty second grade children (& two frogs) at Rashmi English Medium School in Pune, a low income private school. If you thought its easy, think again. At present, my life is as unpredictable and new as it can be. If there is one thing I know for sure, it is that, there will be 100% attendance from the frogs and that they will sleep through all my classes, behind the dustbin. I let them be.
In this blog, I chronicle my rebirth, my first infant cry, my baby steps, my first tooth – oh come on! you know the drill – Come join me as I try to figure out what life is all about.

Do those frogs have name?
Love your intro!
Balaji – Frog1 and Frog 2. But they huddle up and sleep and sometimes look like one.
Madhukar – Thanks :)
Keep up the spirit Meera – remember, the one that is re-born cannot die again. technically. so you keep your nose to the grindstone, and in the meantime, to shove some reality into your mind for some further musing, take up some part-time work that can support your financially so you dont have to worry about giving up what you love to do. I read your recent post. its tough. but c’est la vie. the easy ones die quick. As for you, thank goodness you were quickened in thinking.
correction: i meant the ‘easy-going’ ones die quick.
